The PlateauCard: what the guest card can really do
You receive it on arrival, and many guests leave it in the room. Yet for the length of your stay the PlateauCard replaces every bus ticket in the region – and rather more besides.
When you arrive we give you the PlateauCard. It is the official guest card of the Seefeld region, it costs you nothing, and it is worth considerably more than the piece of card suggests.
The most common mistake: it stays in the room.
The main point: you travel free
For the duration of your stay the PlateauCard is a travel ticket. It is valid on all bus routes in the region – as far as Telfs to the west and Mittenwald to the north, so across the national border. Add to that the train between Seefeld and Scharnitz and, in summer, the Wildmoos bus that takes you to the walking trailheads in the Wildmoos.
In practice that means you can plan a walk as a one-way route rather than a circuit. Out on foot, back by bus. This opens up tours that would otherwise be too long – Seefeld via Wildmoos to Mösern, for instance, or into the Leutasch to the Ghost Gorge.
Discounts that add up
- Olympiabad Seefeld: 10 per cent on 4-hour and day tickets, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
- ErlebnisWelt Alpenbad Leutasch: 10 per cent on regular admission to the indoor pool and sauna, all year round
- Casino Seefeld: 15 per cent on the welcome package, which includes admission, a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice, and a surprise
On top of that come reduced or free admission to several museums in the region.
The programme many people miss
A guided programme belongs to the PlateauCard, in summer as in winter. Free items include the "Kultur im Wirtshaus" events and Tyrolean evenings with folk dancing. The programme changes weekly and is available at our reception.
What it cannot do
So there is no disappointment: the train to Innsbruck is not included – the PlateauCard ends at Scharnitz. Cable cars and cross-country trail passes are not covered either; the trail pass, for its part, does include bus travel.
Good to know
The card is personalised and valid for the length of your stay. We reissue lost cards at reception.
