Why Seefeld?
Seefeld lies on a sunny plateau at 1,200 metres between the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountains, half an hour from Innsbruck and an hour and a half by train from Munich. As an Olympic region, the village has a great winter sports history; as a car-free pedestrian zone with cafés, shops and a casino, it is at the same time remarkably lively. And right in the middle of it, on the village square: the Post Seefeld.

Seefeld in summer
Hiking on 650 kilometres of paths, cycling on 570 kilometres of routes, plus golf, bathing lakes and via ferratas: the mountain summer on the plateau is mild, the air is clear and the alpine pastures are close by. Our highlights: the Wildmoosalm with its disappearing lakes, the circular path around the Wildsee and an evening on the Platzhirsch terrace.

Seefeld in winter
Five ski areas for connoisseurs, 245 kilometres of World Cup-standard cross-country trails, 142 kilometres of winter walking paths and a biathlon facility where guests may train too: winter in Seefeld is sporty, but never hectic. You will look in vain for après-ski hustle, and that is exactly what our guests appreciate.

Excursions around Seefeld
- Innsbruck (30 min): the Golden Roof, the old town, the Bergisel ski jump and the Nordkette cable car
- Leutascher Geisterklamm (15 min): a spectacular gorge with walkways, suitable for families too
- Mittenwald (20 min): a Bavarian violin-making town with painted façades
- Zugspitze (45 min via Ehrwald): by cable car up Germany's highest mountain

PlateauCard: your guest card
On arrival you receive the PlateauCard from us. Throughout your stay it serves as a ticket for the region's buses (as far as Telfs and Mittenwald) and for the train between Seefeld and Scharnitz. Many experiences in the region are free or discounted with it.

Frequently asked questions about Seefeld
Very easily: from Munich the regional train via Garmisch takes you directly to Seefeld in about 1.5 hours, from Innsbruck the S-Bahn in a good 30 minutes. The station is a two-minute walk from the hotel.
Seefeld is a year-round destination: December to March for skiing and cross-country trails, June to October for hiking, biking and golf. November and late April are the quietest months; many businesses use them for maintenance closures.
The centre is a pedestrian zone. Our hotel is right in the middle of it, with the barrier-controlled hotel car park directly behind (access via Dorfplatz 137).
For adults looking for peace and quiet: our 2,500 m² spa is reserved for guests aged 15 and over, and children are welcome in the Genuss pool until 4:30 pm. We are deliberately not a party hotel.
Seefeld lies at around 1,200 metres. The mountain air is beneficial and well tolerated even by the unaccustomed — ideal for restful sleep and for training at altitude.
