Real skiing. And real winter calm.
Alpine skiing: pleasure instead of crowds
Five sunny ski areas with 34 cable cars and lifts and 26 kilometres of groomed pistes, entirely without crowded gondolas: the family ski areas Birkenlift and Geigenbühel, relaxed descents on the Gschwandtkopf, the toboggan run on the Katzenkopf and the Rosshütte mountain railways with a children's area and freestyle fun park. Along the way, rustic huts await for a stop, from Kaspressknödel to Kaiserschmarrn. In the evening it continues with night skiing under a starry sky.
Cross-country skiing & biathlon in the Olympic region
More than 245 kilometres of freshly groomed trails for classic and skating make Seefeld one of the best cross-country areas in the Alps, including a floodlit night trail (Mon to Fri, 5 to 9 pm). At the biathlon facility, amateur athletes can also get a taste of competition: with real small-bore rifles, on skis or roller skis if desired.
Away from the slopes
- Winter walking: 142 kilometres of cleared paths through snow-covered forests
- Snowshoeing: 35 kilometres on 7 routes
- Ski touring: ascents to the Rosshütte, the Seefelder Joch and the Härmele
- Tobogganing: natural toboggan runs, in the evening under the stars too
- Ice skating & Bavarian curling: natural and artificial ice rink in the middle of the village, with free instruction
- Winter trails: groomed running routes with GPX data
